Help Me Replace My Camera Gear

Hello friends,

On August 9th, while swimming at Macaronis in the Mentawais, I had a really heartbreaking accident: my camera and lens were severely damaged swimming out when they were flooded with saltwater.

They’re now completely broken and beyond repair.

So I can't use either my camera, lenses or housing.

As a photographer and filmmaker, my gear it’s my way to share stories and moments from the water and it’s the essential tool I rely on for my work. Without it, I can’t do my job.

I came to Indonesia to train in bigger waves and improve my skills, but now this sudden loss has stopped me in my tracks. My travel insurance will only cover 750€, but the replacement cost for my gear is around 7500€.

That’s why I’m reaching out to ask for your help so I can get back in the water, behind the lens, and continue creating as soon as possible.

Hola amigos,

El 9 de agosto, mientras nadaba en Macaronis en las Mentawais mi cámara, lentes y carcasa se inundaron de agua salada. Todo quedó irreparable.

Como fotógrafa y filmmaker, mi equipo es la forma en la que cuento historias y momentos desde el agua, y lo que necesito para mi trabajo. Sin él, no puedo seguir trabajando.

Vine a Indonesia para entrenar en olas grandes y mejorar mis habilidades, pero esta pérdida me ha obligado a detenerme:(.

Mi seguro solo cubre 750€ y el coste total para reemplazarlo es de unos 7000€.

Por eso pido vuestra ayuda para poder volver al agua, detrás de mis lentes y bajo el agua, y seguir creando lo antes posible. <3
