Hello friends and family. I created this GoFundme for my brother and sister because their baby, my sweet niece Emma, was rushed into Emergency Surgery at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital just less than a week ago. First, she is OK, and I thank God every day. She had a severe sinus infection that they assumed were her allergies that overtook her eye, almost traveled to her brain and could have been catastrophic. She had to undergo two surgeries, one to clear out the infection before it traveled to her other eye and her brain, and one to drain her eye as she almost lost it. Besides prayers, what they need now more than ever is donations. My brother and sister-in-law have taken time off work to be with Emma over the last 6+ days, which is very difficult for them financially. They have three children, 1 in college, and this type of medical treatment can often be financial devastation for a family. I have over 1,200 friends here, if everyone could donate just $5-$10, we could get halfway to our goal quickly! If you can’t donate, please share. When it comes to your children, the last thing anyone should have to worry about is finances because choosing that vs. death is a no-brainer. Let’s rally and support them and help ease the burden as Emma is still in for a long recovery to ensure this thing hasn’t spread.
