Hope for Healing: Holly’s Liver Transplant Fund

An even BIGGER update 6/3/2025

With permission from Holly, I wanted to share with everyone that she received THE call today, they have a liver match for her. She will undergo the transplant surgery tomorrow 6/4. Please continue to pray, share her story and contribute to the meal train as you are able to. I have added a video that a darling neighbor of the Persgard’s, Laura, made of Holly’s Fight Club . Now it’s time to kick some liver transplant butt.

Update 5/29/2025

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, prayed/ reached out. Your kindness has been overwhelming and the Persgard family could not be more grateful. I wanted to provide an update. Holly has officially been listed on the transplant list and is waiting for a call at any moment. We are so happy that she is finally listed, she has been quite sick these past fews weeks. As she prepares for her big surgery, extended hospital stay and recovery, their family will need all the support and love. If you could be so kind to share her story to your friends and loved ones I would really appreciate it.

Hello friends and family,

For those who have not heard, Holly has been having health issues since December. She found out that she has a rare genetic disorder called Hemochromatosis, which is where the body produces an abundance of iron, ultimately damaging the liver. The signs and symptoms of liver dysfunction may not present themselves until later in life. Viruses and alcohol speed up the rate at which the liver is damaged. Despite Holly and her doctor's best efforts, her liver is too sick to recover, and she is in need of a liver transplant.

These past few months have been a rollercoaster for the Persgard family in every way imaginable. With a liver transplant on the horizon, we wanted to create a space for people to help ease the financial burden for their sweet family.

Holly has a long journey ahead of her but is fighting as hard as she possibly can for her husband, Justin, and her two beautiful babies, Nora and Wyatt (6).
