Mission Statement for Friends of Mark DeLuca
The mission for the Friends of Mark DeLuca is to raise money for Mark Deluca, a father of five and career law enforcement professional, who on July 12, 2013 was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident where he sustained multiple orthopedic injuries and a traumatic brain injury. Since the accident Mark has been working hard on his rehab, 12 months inpatient at Spaulding rehab in Cambridge and since September of 2014, Mark has lived at his brother Peter’s home continuing his outpatient rehab therapy and recovery.
The proceeds of the fundraising efforts will be used as follows:
· Make improvements to Mark’s home in Whitman, MA so that it is handicap accessible, where he hopes to return and live with his 5 children.
· Provide resources for Mark’s care upon his return to his home and assist in his continued rehabilitation and progress.
· Pay for those medical costs not covered by health insurance.
