One of my best friends, Stacy Mancaniello and her family are going to have a very tough five months ahead of them. This family needs OUR help so they can remain with a roof over their heads.
Here is their story…
In November 2014, Stacy’s husband, Paul was injured while working his second job as a hockey referee. His rotator cuff was completely torn in his right shoulder, and this disabled him from working at his full time job within the City of Beverly DPW, which requires heavy physical labor daily. Paul was required to have surgery in late December of 2014 to repair his shoulder leaving him unable to return to work until late June of 2015. Due to the fact that he was not injured on the job, and because he did not carry disability insurance, he is unable to collect any disability pay, or workman's compensation. Luckily, his job is protected while he is unable to work under Family Medical Leave Act, but this inhibits eligibility for unemployment or other compensation. Rapidly nearing an end to his sick/vacation pay, his family will soon be left with only a very small income from his wife Stacy's earnings which will only cover their daily/weekly expenses for groceries, gas and other small incidentals. This leaves them in a very scary and dire situation. They really need our help to get them through this very stressful and financially challenging time. If we all pull together we can help keep them afloat and maintain their household expenses, medical expenses, and health insurance deductions over the next 5 months while Paul's shoulder is being rehabilitated and he is given the okay to return to work. Like many of us, they live paycheck to paycheck and do not have a savings or safety net to fall upon. Without help from their friends and family, they do not know how they will manage financially until Paul can return to work.
This is a hardworking family that just needs help to get through a tough time and a small donation (even 5 or 10 dollars) from friends, family, co-workers, and anyone willing to help could make a world of difference for them. Please help keep the smiles on her kids' beautiful faces!
