Jada's Journey

My name is Jada Lewis and I am on a journey to find a living kidney donor. I was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease around 2016. I continued to work through it, but in 2022, the pain and fatigue proved to be too much and I was forced to start dialysis. I was medically disqualified from my career of over 20 years as a truck driver. Since that point I have been trying to better myself by learning new skills and trades in the hopes of being a little kinder to my body going forward once I go back to work.

As I said, I am searching for a living kidney donor to hopefully give me a second chance to live a fuller, more meaningful life. Dialysis is exhausting, but it keeps me moving as best as I can. I was encouraged to start this fundraiser from so many wonderful and supportive people who are following me on this journey and want to help in some way. Funds from this would be used for expenses that are not currently covered by insurance and day to day costs. My hope and wish is to also raise enough money to help the person who does become my living donor with out of pocket expenses such as travel or food.
