On the night of November 9, 2021, my Mom was taken to St. Mary’s for complaints of shortness of breath. She tested positive for Covid-19, she was eventually admitted, placed on oxygen and started to have a lot of medications, antibiotics, etc. After a few days, her condition rapidly declined, even though we heard from her Doctors daily regarding her progress. After a week, she was intubated and transferred to ICU, and days passed we were eventually told that her lungs and kidneys are not doing good, that required her to have dialysis and do blood transfusions. After 3 weeks, she was free of Covid-19 and out-of-isolation, with this news we remained all hopeful and prayed hard that she’ll get through it. Me, my boyfriend Reme and my Aunts were fortunate to visit her and be with her everyday, speaking to her daily and encouraging her to continue fighting. To our disbelief, her condition continued to decline and then this week, her Doctors told us that her condition is critical and her prognosis is extremely poor and I eventually signed a DNR, for my Mom not to have pain anymore. 

This Go Fund Me page I made primarily to honor the passing of my mother Thelma Soliman she left this morning of December 16, 2021 as we all gathered in her room. She had the countenance of calmness as though she was ready to join our Creator in the Company of Angels and Saints and also my Dad up there in heaven.

My mother will be known as a dedicated and hardworking Mother, a wonderful Sister, a generous Aunt and a loving friend and forever known for her good cooking skills.

Me and on behalf of all my family are extremely grateful for the love, prayers and condolences. And we are eternally thankful for all the support everyone has given us and for having such an amazing family and friends in these challenging times. 

Our family is making an appeal to our extended family, relatives and friends near and far to defray the overwhelming cost of the funeral and medical expenses.
