I am raising funds for my niece, Hailey Walker, and her family! They have all been through so much this past year and need your financial support to Help Hailey Heal!
Hailey was only 5 years old when she was diagnosed with 2nd grade Astrocytoma (brain cancer). She was sitting on the floor in her grandma's living room playing with toys and watching her favorite cartoon when she was seen catapulting herself onto the coffee table, grabbing her head, and screaming... the scream you know means something's wrong! Even after being consoled she continued screaming and began vomiting repeatedly. Her parents took her to the emergency room where she was sedated to control the pain, and they received the bad news that further tests were needed.
Hailey has been through countless rounds of chemotherapy over the past 6 years and now faces several weeks of daily radiation treatments.
Right now, under CDC guidance, the hospital will not allow more than two designated people (which are her parents) to come sit with her while she is in the hospital.
Her family is struggling financially because of frequent hospitalizations related to the new treatment plan.
Their fincancial stress has not gone unnoticed by my niece. She is tearful and apologizes to her parents that she is sick and they have to miss work. She recently told her counselor that she thinks it would be better for everyone if she were gone. I know some of this is physical pain talking but I don't want her to have any other excuse to give up!
HAILEY has been SO BRAVE! She has battled this unrelenting disease like a WARRIOR PRINCESS. PLEASE SUPPORT her in this FIGHT!
Here is a breakdown of their needs and why I am asking to meet a bare minimum of 35K:
Healthy Organic Food: $1,000 per month
Mortgage: $1,400 per month
Car Payment: $750 per month
Utilities: $950 per month
Supplements/OTC pain relievers: $110 per month
Prescriptions meds: $75 per month
Gas: $ 400.00 per month
Household needs: $350.00
This brings 6 months to approximately 35K.
