Hi, we're Liz & Noah. On April 25th we are running a 50K trail race and we’re turning every kilometer we run into an opportunity to raise funds for the National Immigrant Justice Center.
In a moment where human rights are being overlooked and detentions/deportations are on the rapid and dangerous rise, NIJC stands as a beacon of hope, advocating for justice and community safety.
NIJC provides vital and high-quality legal services to immigrants, refugees, and asylum seekers who are navigating detention, deportation, and some of the most complex and high-stakes legal systems in the country. Their work protects families, upholds human dignity, and defends the right to safety and due process.
Your donations can make a significant difference in the lives of many. Here are just a couple of ways your support can help:
- Provide direct legal services to thousands of individuals, including children and survivors of violence.
- Support advocacy efforts that promote systemic change and protect immigrant rights at local and national levels.
- NIJC runs one of the largest pro bono immigration legal programs in the country. Your dollars will help train volunteer attorneys, support supervision, and case coordination.
Our hope is to raise $15,000 by race day. We’re inviting you to symbolically sponsor our run by donating $1–$5 per kilometer we run:
$1/km = $50
$3/km = $150
$5/km = $250
Of course, any amount is deeply appreciated. Thank you for supporting this opportunity to uplift the needs of those in crisis and standing with immigrant communities. Please feel free to share this link and spread the word among your communities!
Liz & Noah
