Please donate and help my niece Mackenzie who is "Hungry For A Cure."
Mackenzie has a very rare disease in which her body reacts to all food as if it were poison. While food is a luxury to so many, it can be life threatening to Sweet Mackenzie. Food isn’t supposed to hurt.
At 3 ½ years old, Mackenzie survives off of a hypoallergenic amino acid formula from the UK in which she receives via a feeding tube that is surgically placed in her tummy.
Despite Mackenzie being seen by over 40 specialists, her illness still remains a mystery. Most doctors are unable to help Mackenzie due to how medically complex she is. There are two Undiagnosed Disease Programs in Boston and Wisconsin that each believe they might be able to help. However, the insurance says they are “out of network.” Mackenzie and her mom live in south Florida and the needed medical treatment will cost thousands out of pocket. As a single mom, my sister is unable to provide the medical funds needed to get her daughter the out of state medical treatment that she so desperately needs. My sister assured the doctors that if they could help, that she would move mountains to get her daughter there.
Please help this go viral in hopes that someone, somewhere will be able to provide Mackenzie with the funds, help, or answers that she so desperately needs.
