Carmen Peterson Memorial Fund

Carmen Peterson was diagnosed in December of 2013 with a stage 4, rare form of lung cancer. Carmen was not a smoker. After more than a year of aggressive chemotherapy, several surgeries, medical trials, physical therapy, and increasing complications from the growing tumors, Carmen passed away on Tuesday, January 6 of this year, she was 46 years old. Carmen fought with everything she had to live. She loved to give to others, and often made gifts for her family and friends. Carmen valued her family above all else, loved her family more than anything, and wanted nothing more than to stay here with them. Carmen, wife of Brent Peterson, and Mother of three beautiful children Sabrina (16), Ethan (14) and Serena (9), will be missed more than any words could ever express. Over the last year, Carmen's husband, Brent, traveled with her back and forth to Stanford University Hospital in Northern California where Carmen was receiving the majority of her cancer treatment. Brent was unable to work for many weeks as he accompanied Carmen, and also took care of their three children. Brent and Carmen had to use their savings to care for Carmen, and Carmen's family is in great financial need at this time to help with expenses for Carmen's memorial services. No amount is too small. Thank you so much for helping.
