Shelter from the Cold for Houseless Folks in Fargo

We are a collective made up of water protectors and Indigenous activists who initially came together around the Line3 pipeline campaign. We are switching gears from frontline action to immediate mutual aid calls as we address the needs of community members in and around North Dakota and Minnesota.

 

We are asking for your support for our first project: providing motel rooms and other necessities for currently unhoused individuals enduring subfreezing temperatures in the Fargo/Moorhead, ND area.

 

This is an immediate and urgent need. We are looking to raise enough money to cover costs for 4 double rooms for 30 days at local, economy motels for individuals and families who are enduring -30 degree temperatures. Money will also go towards food, warm clothing, and hygiene products. We will be partnering with community organizations for referrals.

The weekly rate for rooms is $273 for 1 bed, $300 for 2 beds. Consider donating for a week of shelter or $40 for a single night!
