On Sunday, March 6, Ivan James Vargas lost his life. He was only 14 years old.

Ivan’s father, Ivan Vargas Sr., is the Construction Foreman for Lamar Advertising of Los Angeles. He has been a part of the Lamar family for 14 years.

Those of us who have had the honor of knowing and working side by side with Ivan know that he and his wife, Mirna, are very private, humble individuals. They are a strong and proud family, but right now they need our support.

They lost their son, unexpectedly, in the prime of his life. As they are dealing with this loss, Ivan’s wife, Mirna, has been off of work, for some time now, battling Breast Cancer. Times are hard, and they are having a hard time making ends meet.

Life can be hard and we never know what our friends, colleagues, and even our family members may be struggling with. Take the time to tell those around you that you care about them.  Love your children – just as Ivan and Mirna loved their son, Ivan James.

At Lamar, we look out for one another, and we take care of our own! Now, we need to come together and do what we can for the Vargas family.

Ivan’s colleagues at Lamar have taken the time to set up this Go Fund Me page in order to raise funds to assist the Vargas family with funeral expenses and other related costs. Every dollar makes a difference and no donation is too small!!

Please take the time to support the Vargas family in their time of need. Spread the word...both inside and outside of the Lamar family, because we need the support of as many people as possible.
