NI junior doctor protest supplies
We, as a group of Junior Doctors and Medical Students, oppose the changes to the junior doctor contract which the government wish to enforce. The new contract removes the safeguards which were put in place to prevent junior doctors working excessive hours and becoming tired, ineffective and dangerous. We feel that the new contract will put the lives of our patients at risk unnecessarily. As a group of professionals we swore an oath to make the care of our patients our first concern and we will not accept any changes that will have a negative impact on the safety of our patients.
The NI Executive have not yet made a decision on whether to impose the contract or not. We will make our voices heard and stand in s...olidarity with our colleagues in London as they hold their rally on the same day. Our message is clear - if you aren't with us, you are against patient safety!
If you are a doctor, nurse, HCA, allied health care professional, lab technician, porter, domestic service worker or other NHS employee, if you know a doctor, raised a doctor, love a doctor, have no strong feelings about doctors but think the NHS is swell, have been a patient in an NI Hospital, are rooting for Tamal to win the Great British Bake Off or just love a good rally (...let's face it, who doesn't?!) come and join us. We will stand together and make it clear that we will not allow anymore cuts to further cripple our incredible health service!
We are going to rally at City Hall, Belfast on the 17/10/15 and we need to get supplies for placards, posters, balloons and flyers etc. All money dontated will go into getting supplies for this event.
Thanks for all your help
