My name is Larry, and I'm fundraising for my dear friend Gabriel Cerda Saldivar. Gabriel is a good man in a nightmare of a situation.

He was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer of the lungs and kidney in 2024. Because he lacks medical insurance, he's unable to receive full and proper treatments. So far he knows he requires at least a kidney operation. He currently resides in Ensenada where he's managed to find a free form of medical coverage that covers some treatments. However, since his coverage is of the lowest tier and he lacks any financial resources, he's been told not to expect a proper exam until around late November. Making matters worse is the fact that Gabriel's wife Blanca is down in Guadalajara (Central Mexico) with her mother, who is battling breast cancer herself. Gabriel is largely fighting this battle alone, in a city that isn't home and without the money needed to take real care of himself. Gabriel is a proud man and it pains him to ask for help of any kind, but life has dealt him a very tough hand.

Any funds raised will primarily go to helping Gabriel pay for his MRI's, any medicines or treatments not covered in his plan, and the 2 to 3 months of expected recovery time post-surgery where he'll be unable to work.
