JV (aka Joe) Ferreira needs your help.

We have organized a GoFundMe for a very dear family friend, JV, who is faced with substantial medical bills after a vicious assault that required surgery. Please read about the incident in more detail below from JV’s wife, Louise.

On Tuesday, March 29, my husband of almost 43 years, JV Ferreira was the victim of a violent unprovoked attack. His attacker beat him about the head and body and stomped his ankle, severely dislocating it and fracturing both his tibia and fibula leg bones. Joe needs orthopedic surgery to repair the fractures with a plate and screws. All costs for his surgery must be paid in advance. This sudden expense is difficult when retired and living on a fixed income. His surgery is tentatively scheduled for Monday, April 11, 2022. In the future he will need physical therapy to rehabilitate his damaged right leg. His attacker has been arrested and is awaiting trial. He is 31-year-old who left a 67-year-old man severely injured.

We relocated to Grenada in 2013 & Joe taught at the local community college. Joe has Caribbean ancestry. We then decided to retire here. Medicare covers zero medical costs outside the USA. Any amount will help right now. Please keep him on your thoughts & prayers.
