On February 28, 2022, John was admitted to Geisinger CMC for extreme lethargy. During his stay, he picked up pneumonia, complicating and delaying any possible treatment. It wasn't until later that tests determined that the cause was aggressive liver cancer.

After an entire month of battle, we are sad to say that my little brother John was unable to fight it any longer and passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 30.

As many of you may know, John had already battled with Meningitis Encephalitis 17 years ago and lost many cognitive abilities. He had to re-learn basic skills, but he never lost his smile. He looked forward to going to his job at Allied, loved taking trips to Long Island to visit family and was always ready to have a good time. John got along with everyone he met and always made sure he left you laughing.
