Justin Pasquariello was many things to many people during his time with us, and left a lasting impression and profound impact on everyone whom he came to know.
First and foremost, Justin was a family man… He was a caring, loving father to his three children Gia (7), Michael (3), and Dominic (newborn) and a best friend and partner in life to his wife Melissa. A dedicated son, brother, cousin, nephew, and uncle who understood and valued the bond he shared with each of them. Justin was a man who embraced his friends and made them feel like they too were part of his family. An ambitious and entrepreneurial spirit with a tireless work ethic, dedicated to providing a special life filled with joy and happiness for his family that he loved with all of his heart.
Justin unexpectedly passed away on July 27, and while each of us individually struggle in our own way to deal with his absence from our lives, our thoughts and prayers are especially with his wife Melissa and three young children. We pray for them to have hope and the strength to continue onward down the path that he began to pave. We offer a hand to help, a smile to raise their spirits, and a shoulder to share in the tears. Justin built a huge community with his unselfish acts of kindness to those in need, be it boarding windows for Hoboken neighbors during Sandy, or buying a bike for an immigrant begging to work for free. A seemingly endless stream of stories recounting tales of Justin’s kindness and the impact he’s had on so many lives have continued to come to light in the weeks since his passing… many of which even his family and closest friends had never heard. Over 2,500 people paid their respects, and we know there are many more praying for him and his family.
Now is our time to be inspired by the kindness that Justin exuded, and by the impact that he had on each one of us. Now is our time to help continue what Justin started by providing support to Melissa and his three children as they continue forward, each carrying Justin’s spirit within them. Melissa is an amazing gift of a mother…an angel on earth. She is strong, but grieving andsimultaneously keeping the kids’ spirits high to stay positive. Gia and Michael were all smiles for their first day of school. Dominic also sported a smile at his christening a few weeks ago. We don't know how she does it all. But we don’t want for her to do it alone. She has asked for NOTHING. Yet we need to be there for her and we need to help her.
In this tragic situation, no one should ever worry about financial matters. So as a community, we are committed to support Melissa so she can focus on what matters most...the children.
This is where we, a loyal brotherhood of Justin's friends, humbly ask for your help. Our collective giving here will help provide Melissa and the kids the greatest gift of all - hope for a new day, one day at a time.
Any act of kindness is most appreciated. If you can find it in your heart to give just a little bit to someone, this is the family to shine some light on. (To be clear, the intention here is solely for HIS family and is separate from the Scholarship Foundation Fundraiser that we will be having in December)
From the bottom of our hearts, we THANK YOU with the utmost gratitude for your support. May God continue to bless us all, especially Justin, Melissa, Gia, Michael, and Dominic.
