Just-Inspire (New Lungs for Justin)
Donation protected
We are seeking help for Justin Elliott who is a 33 year old male that was diagnosed at birth with Cystic Fibrosis & is currently in the process of double lung transplant evaluation. Justin receives his current medical care at Mass General Hospital Adult Cystic Fibrosis clinic as well as his transplant care at Brigham & Women’s Boston Lung Transplant Center. Justin currently resides in West Newbury, Massachusetts near we he grew up in Rowley, Ma. Cystic Fibrosis is an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive systems. CF affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky which plug up tubes, ducts and passageways. Over the past four years Justin has had many high’s and low’s with his health. He has had multiple embolization’s due to significant bleeding in parts of his lungs which eventually led towards having a lobectomy of his right upper lobe in 2016 also spending over 250 days hospitalized for treatments since October of 2017. Over the past years there has been significant progress and many new treatments made for Cystic Fibrosis. Unfortunately, CF still claims many lives too short. Help us raise the funds that Justin currently needs and will need as he moves forward to receiving as well as living with new lungs. Thank you in advance for your help.
