On August 1st, 2022 around 1:45 PM my husband was getting ready for work and had sudden side pain followed by numbness in his leg/arm. After being told the Fremont ER was too full to prioritize him we rushed to the Bellevue ER hoping it was kidney stones. After a couple hours we got the news that makes you want to throw up..a 10 CM tumor on his spinal cord… and then came even more bad news-he was waitlisted on 3 major hospitals lists, some 40 people deep. I called around and thankfully got him an appointment with a Neurosurgeon in Cincinnati. Tomorrow, 8-3-2022, we will meet with a doctor and discuss what the plan is. We are being told if this mass is not cancerous, which I pray it is not, it will be a 6-12 month process. My husband works 12+ hours 6 days a week, sometimes 7. He does this so I can stay home with our 3 children. Justin does qualify for short term disability but that will take weeks to finalize and our income will be 1/4 of what it was for however long it takes to get Justin better. I hope to get a job somewhere once he is able to stay home with the kids and recover. I hate to ask for money ever, but we are so scared and don’t know what to do. Times are tough for everyone so if you can’t donate I understand and just ask for prayers. Thank you for reading this. ♥️
