Justin's Knee Surgery (Please keep Secret)
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
Please do not tell Justin about this Gofundme!
My name is Thomas Sullivan (29P). Of course, we all know Justin Beckerman, our amenities coordinator. Many of you may not know that Justin needs to have Knee Surgery. From my chats with him, I can tell that his main reservation about having the surgery is his insurance plan's high deductible of $5,500.
I'm turning 30 this year and have undergone four orthopedic surgeries in the last three years. (Hips & Shoulders) I am speaking from experience when I say that delaying a surgery like this can result in severe and permanent damage to your body. My hip surgeon told me that if I had come in 6 months later than I did, I would have needed a full hip replacement. Time is of the essence with injuries like this, and Knees are particularly complex.
We are lucky to live in such a great building with some of the best amenities in the city. Justin is the guy who keeps them all running and organizes all of the awesome events for everyone in the building. I know most of you usually give gifts to the staff during the Holidays, but a donation now that will allow Justin to get the surgery he needs will mean more to him than any amount of Christmas gifts/bonuses.
I think it would mean the world to Justin if all of us could come together and help cover his deductible so he can have the surgery that will improve his quality of life forever.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions, and once again please keep this a secret from Justin. He isn't the kind of person to ask for a handout so I don't want him to find out about this until we have a cheque for him. Assuming we reach our goal, I am happy to organize a date/time to present the cheque to Justin so that anyone who wishes to be there when we give him the cheque, can be
I will be making the first donation of $400. I appreciate all of your generosity and support!
Sincerely,
Thomas Sullivan
