Justin's Eagle Scout Project at Fentress Giving Garden
Donation protected
My name is Justin Gall and I am a member of Great Bridge United Methodist Church and a Boy Scout with Troop 828. I’m currently working on my Eagle Scout Project, which is the final milestone in my journey as a Boy Scout.
As part of earning this rank, I’m planning a service project that will benefit the Fentress Giving Garden and all the people that depend on it.
My project involves me leading scouts to build a deck and a ramp for the garden’s trailer, as well as a planter box that will be placed by the sign for the garden. The current ramp is two planks of wood pushed together that could break eazy. The deck is two cylinder blocks that are not safe and are very unstable. The current planter box is made out of weak plastic.
I intend to build a full deck that is able to hold multiple people at once and be able to weigh the produce. I also intend to build a longer and more stable ramp to help push equipment and produce from the farm on to the deck. Finally, I plan to build a new planter box out of wood that will last longer. I believe that this project will have a lasting and positive impact.
In order to make this project a reality, I’m seeking donations to cover the costs of materials, supplies, and other expenses. Any financial contribution would be greatly appreciated. Your support not only helps me achieve my goal, but also strengthens our community.
Thank you for your consideration
