Prayers for Justin

I’ve been hesitant to do this for a while now, but several people have urged me to do it and the truth is, it would be helpful due to me having to miss an unknown amount of work after my surgeries and help with bills during this difficult time. So, here is my story: I was born with Polycystic Kidney Disease. I’ve been on medication for high blood pressure since birth. Both of my kidneys are covered in cycts and are 5X the size they should be. In November I was told my kidney function was at 3% and I had surgery to put in an emergency catheter and started dialysis right away. In January I made the change to peritoneal dialysis and had another surgery to place the catheter in my abdomen and a AV Fistula placed in my right arm. Every night I hook up to my machine and do my treatments for approximately 8 hours a night. I met with the surgeon on Tuesday, October 31st and they decided that I will have my kidneys removed before Christmas and then once I heal from that surgery and I have a donor, I will have another surgery to get my new kidney. You all know my attitude with all of this, I try my best to keep pushing forward and do all I can to be positive. I’d be lying if I told you I wasn’t scared, but I know there’s a plan and God gives his toughest battles to his strongest soldiers. I’ll be okay. I’m so thankful for an amazing support system and I couldn’t do it without each and every person who is constantly there for me.
