On August 24, 2025, Justin Berrelez passed away suddenly in the arms of his fiancée, Kiley Leja, at their home. Justin was not only a beloved partner, son, and friend, but also a decorated hero. As a Detroit firefighter and paramedic, he dedicated his life to protecting others and was awarded the City of Detroit’s Medal of Valor for his courage and service.

Justin always put others before himself. Now, in the wake of this heartbreaking loss, Kiley is left facing overwhelming grief along with the heavy burden of housing and personal bills. She is navigating an uncertain future without the man who was her greatest love and support.
