Justina Kinard’s positive energy was infectious. She had the ability to unconditionally love all of her friends and family while simultaneously telling any person the truth, even if it was challenging. Justina was brave, beautiful, and strong… So strong that the universe needed her much sooner than any of her loved ones could have ever prepared for.
Justina suffered from a sudden cardiac arrest on Tuesday, January 31st, 2023. After being rushed to the Regions Hospital Emergency Room, she was transferred to the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis for ECMO and other life support, where she spent the next week in Cardiovascular ICU. In that time, various x-rays, ultrasounds and brain scans took place.
The doctors figured out that due to the lack of oxygen to her brain during the time of cardiac arrest, her brain was severely swollen and damaged.
Unfortunately, as of February 9th, 2023, Justina was removed from life support and is now able to find peace…
Despite how short her 28 years on this earth were, she always knew how to live. Justina loved to travel, try new things any chance she got, and go on adventures that the universe set out for her, creating memories with her loved ones that will last a million lifetimes. Justina loved making her friends laugh, and always valued the simple little moments in life.
With that being said, two of her best friends Lauren Rodriguez and Brittany Borgan worked together to set up this GoFundMe page in hopes to help raise money for excessive medical expenses and funeral costs that Justina’s parents will unfortunately be facing in a matter of time.
