Help Justin walk again

Hi, my name is Veronica and I’m raising funds for my little cousin Justin Castillo, a sweet, intelligent, and kind-hearted 10-year-old boy living in Venezuela. Last year, Justin suffered a life-changing accident, he fell off a motorcycle and fractured both his femur and tibia on October 27, 2024.

At first, there was hope that, due to his young age, he would recover well. But Justin’s story took a heartbreaking turn.

What Happened?

Justin has endured three failed surgeries due to medical malpractice. Instead of healing, his left leg has become severely deformed, leaving it extremely curved and making it almost impossible for him to walk.

Today, his diagnosis is a distal femur deformity in the oblique plane, and he urgently needs a specialized orthopedic surgery using an Ilizarov external fixator to realign his leg. This procedure is only available at a private pediatric orthopedic hospital.

Why We Need Your Help

Justin lives with his mother, grandfather, and younger sister. Due to his limited mobility, he can’t attend school or play like other children his age. He is isolated, missing out on the joys of childhood and education.

In Venezuela, access to proper healthcare is extremely limited, and the cost of this surgery is far beyond what an average working family can afford.

As his family abroad (we live in Austria), we’re doing everything we can to support him financially and emotionally, but we can’t do it alone.
