A Proper Farewell for our Macy’s Brother
Our hearts are broken. Our treasured Macy’s colleague and friend, Justin Tuncil, experienced a medical emergency and passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2021. He was just 37 years old. His last text was to his manager – a testament to his dedication to the Macy’s team.
For five years, Justin loved working at Macy’s North County Fair and was like family to those who knew him best. He was a versatile leader with a can-do attitude. He made the store a better place for our employees and our shoppers alike. He will be sorely missed and long remembered.
Justin was also incredibly devoted to his real family – his mother, siblings, and his niece and nephew. He enjoyed sharing pictures of them, their projects and pets. This fund is to help Justin’s mother, who lost her son far too soon, cover the costs of his funeral. Her husband passed two years ago, and this second tragedy is more grief than any person should bear alone.
