Justin T. (Rebro) Dowell - Emergent Medical

Hello, my name is Pam Dowell. I am asking for your consideration for donations of any size, to be used to assist my cousin Justin (Rebro) Dowell and his family with an emergent medical crisis.

Justin and his wife Wililyn (Pinky) own Dowell Farm & Gardens (Itasca County, Minnesota). They have also been small home farmers but took the leap this past year to open a much larger-scale farm operation. Wililyn is the hub manager of the local Farmer's Market. You may have met the couple over the summer months at the Farmers Market on Wed. & Saturdays. They are hard workers that take seriously the need for fresh food and farm-to-table locally-owned food sourcing. Over the winter months, the couple is still busy producing cottage jams/jellies/pantry jarred foods.

Justin is a disabled US Veteran who served in the US Navy in Desert Storm. He has long suffered from a malady of a service-related illness. This past week he was taken by ambulance to the Mpls VA Hospital where he was treated for a diabetic coma and is currently being treated for a serious sepsis illness. He is very sick and his family has been trying to stay at his bedside as much as they can.

This is an emergent need. While he does have VA coverage - there are still the unexpected rising costs of keeping their farm managed and tended to, loss of business income, transportation and housing - all coming during a Christmas season with a terribly hard winter, and inclement freezing weather. Justin is the main farm hand, father, and grandfather - patriarch of the family. From snow removal to babysitting, he does it all. His family is very concerned about his drastically declining health circumstances.
