Justin’s Journey❤️

Donation protected
Hi I’m Mack, I’m making this on behalf of my whole family. This is for my Dad, Justin Juul. This isn’t just for donations towards his funeral it is also to share his story. He was a very strong man who fought for nearly 5 months, he done all of us so proud he was so so strong.
Not only was he the best dad, he was a loving husband, a brother, an uncle and an amazing friend to so many people.
You were so very loved. ❤️
On 2nd November 2024 My dad had a major stroke he was taken into a local hospital and shortly rushed to Kings college hospital in London the same day. He had a blood clot in the neck he was taken into surgery as soon as he arrived at Kings to have a stent put in to disperse the clot, while doing this the clot kept reforming and then the stent became partially blocked. We were told that night it was not in our favour and he wasn’t likely to make it. Fast forward a few days he began to vomit blood and his head started swelling an extremely dangerous amount, the best chance of survival was to do a craniotomy (removing part of the skull) to let the swelling swell out. He was then kept on a ventilator in ICU, again everyone including the doctors were unsure if he was going to wake up and breathe on his own. The damage on the left side of the brain was extremely significant. Fast forward, he came out of ICU and was transferred back to the local hospital, because of the significant amount of damage on the left side of the brain he was unable to move the right ride of his body, he wasn’t even able to sit up as his stomach muscles were not able to hold himself up, he was also unable to swallow. He then started with a nasal gastric tube up his nose and down his throat and then had gastrostomy. He began his journey of the new him with lots of therapy, we had very few words which were yes no and fucking. He then was accepted into the Royal hospital for neuro disabilities after more intense therapy there was a few more words like with, when, time but they were not consistent, he also started to eat puréed food.
On Monday 10th March he had cranioplasty (titanium plate where the skull was taken out) on Tuesday 11th they took him back into surgery as there was a clot behind the plate and then placed him back in ICU on a ventilator, we were then told there is now bleeding on the right side which had spread and left him with 10% chance of waking up and significant damage on the right side now as well as the left, there was very minimum brain activity left. On Sunday 16th march he passed away peacefully with all of his family surrounding him.
We love you so much ❤️
