Justin Grater Memorial Scholarship

This GoFundMe is in honor & memory of Justin Grater for a graduating Highland High School Senior.

With my 49th birthday falling on 4/20 & Justin’s 42nd birthday on 5/2 along with our 10th anniversary 5/17 & the unfortunate 1st anniversary of Justin’s death 5/20, there is nothing more honorable I can think of than establishing a scholarship to honor Justin’s life to continue throughout the years gifting to one Highland Senior each year beginning 2025.

My hope is we can create enough of a donation to gift one senior $500 to start & have a collection to create a base to continue to grow year after year.

Justin Grater was a man of love, life and the gift of quick wit & humor. If Justin didn’t make you laugh, you weren’t listening. Justin had the energy to light up the room no matter where he was. Justin in high school could be found on the football field & later in life at the top of the same football hill cheering on the boys of Fall he called his own, Dario and Austin DiValentino. Justin was at every school event for Emma, Cerissa, Dario & Austin. Along the way he gathered more kids he called his own Matt Earley & all others of our kids friends.

Justin was killed at by his employee at work on May 20, 2024 at the young age of 41 years old.

My goal is to carry on this scholarship for as many years as possible building a foundation to continue to grow to gift as many seniors along the way as possible year by year.

Help this extremely difficult year by donating in memory & honor of Justin as we gift a 2025 Highland High School Senior.  

Gillian Grater will be handling this memorial scholarship in honor of Justin Grater. Our first year donation will be submitted by May 7th.
