My best friends husband (Justin Michal) was diagnosed with Glioblastoma in July after removal of a brain tumor and will be traveling to Germany to undergo immunotherapy for treatments not accessible in the U.S. The initial baseline course will cost $141,000- which is not covered by healthcare. I will be competing in my 2nd triathlon in San Diego on Oct. 12th in honor of Justin's fight and ask my friends, family, coworkers, acquaintances, fellow humans, etc. to give what you can to ease the financial burden for the Michals! A poem for Justin's courageous fight

A husband, a father, strong and kind.

Now faces a mountain no one should find.

A brain tumor removed, but then the blow

Glioblastoma, a word no one should know.

2 young sons, a love so deep,

A family rooted in faith they keep.

They're choosing health, they're choosing fight -

With keto meals and sauna nights.

So on October 12, I run, I ride, I swim

Each mile, each stroke, is done for him.

To lift this family, help them heal.

And show them love is strong and real
