Justin Ermacora Jasper Wildfire

Hi everyone, our names are Johan and Tracy and we are the parents of Justin Ermacora who lives in Jasper Alberta.

Last week, together with so many other Jasperites, our son Justin lost his livelihood, his accommodations, his belongings and his community as he was forced to evacuate Jasper. Many of his personal possessions were destroyed as the wildfire raged through Jasper. As the days slowly progressed, he learned that the place he called home was burned to the ground. Thankfully, Justin and his girlfriend safely made it to Kelowna BC.

With so much uncertainty of when things will return to normal, we have started this page to help Justin. We hope that this will provide him some peace of mind and help him get through these dark days without additional stress. The funds will help Justin while he gets re-established with housing, work and life.

Many of you may remember Justin from St. Andrews School, Notre Dame High School or from his work while he was in Welland. Justin has a heart of gold and if you crossed his path, you would certainly remember him.

Justin was called by the mountains to Alberta and has been there since 2016. He worked in several places, including Waterton and Sunshine Village, but landed in Jasper 2 years ago to work at the Fairmont Jasper Lodge. Alberta is his home.

It has been helpful that the Alberta and Canadian governments, along with the Red Cross have given the evacuees some financial assistance. In the short term, this is much needed, but this will be a long haul for the evacuees.
