Justin Edwards Memorial Prize in Gothic Studies

In January of 2022, we lost our wonderful colleague Professor Justin Edwards (1970-2023), a leading light in the international gothic studies community who for decades inspired and introduced new generations of students to the field at the University of Copenhagen, Bangor University, the University of Surrey, and, more recently, the University of Stirling. To honour his memory and rich critical legacy, the Division of Literature and Languages at the University of Stirling are raising funds to create a Justin Edwards Memorial Prize that will be awarded annually to the best work in Gothic Studies produced by an honours student in the division. The award will honour Justin’s dedication to undergraduate teaching and to development of the field to which he dedicated his career.
