Justin Besade's Road to Recovery ♥️
Donation protected
On behalf of the Besade family and myself, Rachel Chaplin (Justin’s partner), we would like to thank everyone who has reached out over the last six weeks to provide support and comfort. We are incredibly grateful for your kindness during this immensely challenging time.
On December 24, Justin tested positive for COVID-19. By December 26, he started to experience tightness in his chest and serious COVID symptoms. He admitted himself to L&M Hospital where he was diagnosed with both COVID and the flu. Two days later, under heavy sedation and paralytic drugs, the doctors intubated him and he continued to be on a ventilator for 37 days.
During his six weeks in the hospital, Justin has fought through COVID, the flu, a staph infection, and pneumonia. We are encouraged, every single day, by Justin’s continued fight. His vitals remain stable, and for that, we are so thankful. In the next few days and weeks ahead, we are confident that his team of doctors will do everything in their power to support him and bring him back to us.
Anyone that knows Justin knows that he is the most hard-working, loyal, generous person. Many people have reached out to see if they could contribute to Justin’s recovery in any way so we have created a GoFundMe, in his honor. He has a long road ahead. While we do not yet know to what extent, we know that he will need to be transferred to a rehabilitation facility, to support his healing journey. It is possible that he may need to relearn how to walk, perform daily activities, and rebuild his strength so that he can come home to his family and friends that love him so much.
Please help us lift Justin up in prayers and if you would like to help financially, we would be immensely thankful.
