Summary
My name is Rohit Sohanlal, and for over two years I have lived under relentless harassment that has stripped away my safety, stability, and livelihood. Despite filing more than 35 complaints with Toronto Police, Durham Police, the RCMP Cybercrime Unit, and oversight bodies, the abuse has never stopped.
This is not random. It is economic and social sabotage — making life so unsafe and humiliating that I lose work, housing, and resources until I am forced out.
What I’ve Faced
Harassment in housing and commercial establishments: My living situations have been made unbearable due to relentless abuse, including sexual harassment, targeted acoustic attacks on my body, and the unauthorized disclosure of my private information to others, enabling further harassment that they otherwise would not have been able to carry out.
Work disruption: Both of my eBikes were stolen within 30 days, driving me into debt. Harassment continued in insurance classes/exams, leading to delays in getting certifications and, later, in completing training, etc.
Intrusion through technology: Radar and ultrasonic audio devices are used to project degrading and sexualized commentary around me, disrupting daily life and flagging me to strangers for bullying.
Surveillance and intimidation: I am tracked wherever I go. Strangers — often claiming ties to police or RCMP but refusing to identify themselves — intrude on my interactions, echoing my actions in real time and turning ordinary life into a public spectacle.
Impact on My Life
Work & Daily Life:
Every life activity is shadowed by relentless intrusion, bullying, and disruption. Whether in housing, cafés, libraries, or public spaces, the harassment follows me. This relentless pressure makes steady employment — or even being productive as I would usually am in normal circumstances — nearly impossible.
Relationships:
Potential friends, neighbors, and colleagues are drawn into the disruption or pressured to distance themselves. Harassment is performed openly, isolating me and leaving me without support.
Why I Need Help
This campaign will help me:
Will aid in hiring lawyers for the ongoing multiple civil cases, which I am trying to fight myself right now
Manage survival debt caused by lost income
Access therapy and trauma recovery
Secure safe and stable housing
Even small donations will directly support my survival and recovery.
Why This Matters
This is bigger than one story. It shows how technology, intimidation, and silence can be weaponized to:
Destroy careers and reputations
Strip away privacy and dignity
Drive people into isolation through fear and coercion
No one should face harassment networks acting with impunity. If unchecked, this becomes the new normal.
