BIO: In March 2012, Greensboro resident Tawana Sampson was brutalized by Guilford County law enforcement.
She was choked and had her head slammed against a steel elevator wall. Afterwards, she was held in handcuffs with her hands behind her back and shackled for over two hours. Tawana suffered numerous injuries from this attack including a severe brain injury, PTSD, and still suffers from post-concussion trauma to this day. She is a dedicated mother of five children who now advocates in her community to educate and support others about injustice while her medical bills, which are well over a 2.5 million dollars increases.
