My stepdad Steven Conteh was shot & murdered in front of our house on 12/29 just a few days after getting married on 12/26. I didn't have a father growing up but in the time I've known Steven he showed me an acceptance & support as a gay man my family didn't provide growing up. Steven showed my mother a love she's never known. He showed our family kindness & stability during such a hard year.

He was raised by his single mother and I'm making this GoFundMe so I can make sure she doesn't have to pay a penny during this horrific time. I'm also hoping to relieve some weight off of my mother because she is disabled and cannot work. Anything would help. I hope we can band together and honor the man who contributed to so many people and expecting nothing in return, a father I wish I had and a man that showed my mother so much happiness.
