Hello friends, family and supporters:

My name is Ryan Park and this past Saturday Oct. 30th at around 12:30am (Friday night to Saturday morning), Mark Ablaza (aka Ken) and I were jumped and attacked by 10+ men/women (Hispanic, early/mid 20s, tattoos) while inside Universal Horror Nights (Los Angeles, CA).

Long story short - we were in a long line between the Jurassic Park and Mummy ride to purchase a beer. When we got near the front, their large group cut right in front of us. We shook our heads in annoyance but then they approached us aggressively and started getting in our faces for simply shaking our heads. We were having so much fun so we didn’t want any drama and tried to calm the situation by even telling them they can just cut us and stay but they started to push us and eventually punch our faces continually as they beat/kicked us to the floor, calling us the N-word, “faggot” and “pussy”.

This went on for maybe 10 minutes (felt like forever ) as we were getting beaten up with no help from any staff or security. Some people called for security but there was not one in sight. I even had a moment to ask the bar staff for help and they didn’t know what to do.. I do remember one taller White guy that was initially behind us in line that stepped in to help fend off the guys from beating Ken when he wasn’t moving on the floor. (Thank you whoever you are for saving Ken’s life and hope we can meet you one day to repay you ❤️)

In the end, the sheriff finally arrived and wrongly arrested Ken because he tried to defend himself by throwing a line divider and gave him a charge for assault! I cannot believe this happened — if you guys know us, you know that we are not fighting people and feel terrible even squishing a bug! On top of that, they didn't even get all of the people that cause this nightmare, even when we were pointing them out to the security!

Luckily we came out alive and are healing now but we really need everyone’s help now. We need witnesses or video footage of what happened to get justice. Please share and repost this everywhere in hopes of getting a witness to speak the truth and set Ken free from his charges. He is a green card holder and now has to worry about losing his status and having to move back to the Philippines if we cannot clear his name.

Another way you can help out is providing a donation to help us out with medical bills and lawyer fees so we can defend Ken and also fight back for justice. We really thought long and hard about this since we hate to ask for donations; however, just the emotional trauma and panic attacks from flashbacks alone are debilitating, and now the financial struggles are starting to flood in. The bail was $30k alone and now we are looking at over $10k in initial lawyer fees that we now have to deal with when this should not have even happened to us or anyone in the first place! I truly cannot believe this has happened to us and hope this never happens again to anyone! And I don't even want to know how much our medical bills will be coming out to so the headaches just keep adding up..
