Hello all, my name is Lauren Holmes and I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of my little sister. On Monday July 12, 2021, my little sister Leiah Monae Holmes was murdered inside of our home in Montgomery, Alabama. Leiah was only 17 years old. She was going into her senior year of high school. She was a cheerleader and she was very well known at her school. Leiah had multiple colleges she wanted to attend after she graduated. From my remembrance two of which we’re Alabama A&M University in Huntsville, AL & Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA. She also talked about joining the Air Force as well. Leiah was a very sweet girl and she had SO much ahead of her. She was ALWAYS happy. She never bothered anyone. She was always known for her vibrant spirit, her love for food, and uplifting others. Anyone who knew Leiah knew she loved to joke around and always be goofy all the time. She LOVED to laugh. Leiah just brought joy to literally everyone she met. Leiah did not deserve what happened to her, AT ALL! At the moment, nobody knows why this happened to her. Only God does. But THERE WILL be justice for my sister. Her name will NEVER be forgotten. I’m asking that you please give whatever you can to help out my family. I don’t care if it’s just 1¢. ANYTHING will help.
