Justice 4 Nadeem, Justice 4 All

Nadeem Nawara, 17, was killed by Israeli forces on May 15th, 2014. Human Rights Watch stated Nadeem "posed no imminent threat to the forces at the time". An identified soldier was indicted for manslaughter in December; the trial has been continuously delayed but the Nawara family continues diligently on their pursuit of justice.

Siam Nawara, Abu Nadeem (Nadeem’s father), has greatly sacrificed in order to pursue justice for his son. He sold his business and car to afford legal expenses in his international campaign for justice. This summer, Siam traveled throughout the United States speaking with many human rights organizations and officials in order to gain vital support and attention for Nadeem’s case. He visited both Congress and the United Nations, and also marched in Ferguson, MO in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter campaign. Siam’s campaign is ongoing as the trial is approaching, through many setbacks, he continues to fight for justice and uses Nadeem’s name, story, and spirit to bring international attention to unlawful violence and prejudice in the world.
