Ornell Caesar was incarcerated for 8 years when he was 17 years old for a crime he did not commit. He learned to code in prison, and after his release, gained employment as a software engineer. Since his release, Caesar has been the model returning citizen. A leader in the community.

On December 17th, 2021, the police raided his mother's house without a warrant. This is illegal. He was arrested and taken to Rikers Island, where he was held without bail for 4 months.  A few weeks ago, after months of legal battle (and thanks to his amazing lawyers Eric Franz and Michael Horn), he was finally released on bail. But Caesar is now confined to his home on electronic monitoring and faces a minimum 7 year prison sentence. For a crime he did not commit.

We, Caesar's friends and advocates, are raising funds to cover his family's legal fees and ensure he stays free. We humbly ask you to support our cherished friend in this trying time.

Caesar does not belong in prison. Please join us in helping him get justice.
