This story is about our beloved mother Virginia Kelley age 72, a former career nurse. She has a lways had a heart of gold to help anyone or any critter in need, and is now paying the price. Virginia has been a Nurse and Caretaker for over 40 years and a upstanding member of Apache Junction AZ for 30 years.
She recently has found herself victimized by the very people she tried to help, and is fighting to stay in her home without any further losses. The story in the link above, is the news report that will give you a small glimpse of a much larger picture. The people that she is having so much trouble with have robbed her and vandalized her property. We are assessing the damage and what is needed to rehab the property. There are other financial losses such as court fees she has paid to protect herself that need to be recouped, as well as things that have been stolen.
She is now back in her home, with much work to do! The Apache Junction community, Mayor and State Representatives have been in so wonderful in supporting Virginia with this difficult legal process. We are grateful that the Community is interested in assisting our Mother with the rehabilitation of the home and property. Funds will be needed for many things including the materials and clean up. Also, we may need to secure the property from any further violence or vandalism. We also hope to be able to bring her back to her family in Florida in the near future!
