It is with shattered hearts that we share the devastating news that Selby Minner—a beloved mother, grandmother, mentor, and blues legend—was tragically murdered in her home in Rentiesville, Oklahoma Monday June 9th 2025 and was found Tuesday June 10th 2025.

Selby dedicated her life to the blues and to building a safe, creative space where music, soul, and community came together. For decades, she ran the Down Home Blues Club, curated the Oklahoma Blues Hall of Fame, and hosted the historic Dusk ’Til Dawn Blues Festival, pouring her spirit into every note, every gathering, and every artist she lifted up.

Now, in the wake of this senseless act, we are left with deep grief—and an urgent mission:

We must keep her life’s work alive.

This fundraiser will help:

• Cover funeral and memorial expenses

• Provide support during this time of tragedy for her family

• Keep the Blues Museum and Club open to preserve Selby’s legacy

• Maintain the property and keep the Dusk ’Til Dawn Festival going in her honor

• Ensure the Rentiesville grounds remain a cultural landmark and not forgotten

Selby gave everything to her music and her people. She taught, performed, organized, mentored, and kept the flame of real blues burning in Oklahoma and beyond.
