Hello, my name is Savion Hunter. I am raising funds to cover the legal costs connected to a recent arrest that I believe was completely unjust and retaliatory. I was peacefully standing on a public sidewalk, simply observing police activity, which is something I care about in terms of community accountability. An officer gave me an arbitrary command, became upset when I questioned it, and ordered my arrest shortly afterward.

I am autistic, and the situation quickly became overwhelming and confusing. While I was in custody, the officers did not clearly explain the paperwork or the court date they handed me. That led to additional complications with my case that I am now working hard to resolve.
