Hello everyone this is my son Ryeland Demari Gagnon on April 14th my son daycare called me to inform me my son had a fever of 102 seeing that this was the third day his fever had came back I took my baby to UNTIED HOSPITAL in St. Paul Minnesota when we got to the emergency room we waited about twenty minutes and they called us back to get checked in when his vitals was taking at check in the nurse automatically sent him back she said his vitals was way off so we get to the back we waited about thirty forty mins a man doctor came in first he asked me what was going to I explained to him this is the third day my baby fever has came back his nose is clogged up and he has a really bad cough he then listened to his lungs looked at his vitals and proceeded to say oh yes it definitely sounds like something is going on in there he then swabbed my sons nose to check for rsv and covid he then explained to me that there’s another doctor that will be coming in to continue the visit with Ryeland he explained that she was behind and that’s why he stepped in but she should be in shorty we then waited another forty mins for the other doctor to come in she came in with the covid and rsv test being negative and then she listened to his chest she asked if I have giving him any medication I said I have not today but yesterday I gave him Tylenol a couple times because he had a fever but the Tylenol broke the fever but it came back today she then proceeded to tell me oh it sounds like a cold she instructed her nurse to give him Tylenol and suction his nose so after they did that they left out for about thirty more minutes came back in his fever dropped but his vitals was still not normal she said looks like he has a cold I then told again told her the Tylenol keeps bringing the fever down but it keeps coming back she the proceeded to tell me that’s common when a baby have a cold I then told her but his urine is strong I asked her can she smell his urine she proceeded to say I have a mask on I can’t smell through it she then told me she’ll be discharging him with Tylenol and told me to buy him a nose cleaner thing from Walgreens so she told me that they’ll be typing up the discharge instructions and we are free to go thirty mins went by no papers still so I waited a little longer and I left thinking they’ll just put the papers in his my chart like they normally do so I left and did as the doctor instructed my baby was fussy and uncomfortable he finally went to sleep around 11:30 pm and I joined him I woke up at 4:20 am on april 15th 2023 to find my baby unresponsive my brother called the police while I tried to breathe breath into my baby the police officer took over while we waited for the ambulance they arrived pretty quick and rushed my baby to UNITED HOSPITAL when I arrived at the hospital minutes later the nurse informed me that they have done all they can do for him it time to call his time of death they called his time of death around 4:45am we sat with our baby for a while then we went home I went back to United to get my child discharge papers that they never put I. His my chart and they refused me any medical information that they had on him so I waited a whole month for my baby autopsy report when I recieved his death certificate it indicated two causes of death a respiratory tract infection and it also said co sleeping with adults I didn’t know what that meant so I called the medical examiner office to ask and they said it meant Sid’s from sleeping with adults the underlying cause of death was undetermined so I waited for the full autopsy report I recieved it after a month of waiting and it indicated that my son had three different types of pneumonia and it stated that UNITED HOSPITAL reported that they took X-rays and they where all negative but they never took any X-rays of my baby I have reached out to multiple lawyers for my sons case because I know my baby died from phnemonia and they know it too I really need help with finding someone that can help us get just for Ryeland it’s malpractice even if they wanna say my baby died from Sid’s they still sent my baby home with three different types of pneumonia please share my baby story I’m begging for help getting my baby some justice!
