Our beloved Rodney Hinds tragically lost his life to gun violence on October 26, 2019. Rodney Hinds was a wonderful son; brother; nephew; cousin and beloved friend who touched the lives of those around him. He leaves behind family and friends who loved him dearly.
Rodney was a calm and sweet soul that lit up the room with his joyous smile, he was the ladies man as his friends would call it. He always bowed his head with a smile. Rodney's friends and family described him as a beautiful spirit. Rodney was a junior in the 11th grade at the Miami Norland High School and had high hopes of graduating in June 2021. His mom and dad were ecstastic about his Senior year to get him prepared for Prom and Graduation in which he was looking forward to. Rodney loved to be the best dressed and his parents ensured to always make that possible. His dreams were to soon earn his driver's license, become a successful man and to accomplish many things in life. He wanted to make his parents proud. To make a difference in life. Not to have his life or future taken by a gun. He was an innocent soul looking forward to sprout in life.
We are all devastated by Rodney's sudden death and were not prepared for the high cost of a funeral service. We want to give Rodney the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
I am currently asking for donations to help cover the cost of Rodney's funeral. We need to raise $10,000 by November 30, 2019.
