Hi, we started this fundraiser to bring Justice to our mom’s disappearance after leaving Perfektima Clinic in Zona 14, in Guatemala.
Our mom is a U.S. citizen, 59 yrld, who traveled to Guatemala for a surgery that was scheduled for June 13, 2023 at 7am.
Floridalma Roque was born and raised in Honduras, came to the United States in 1980 and became a U.S. citizen. Went to school and became a registered nurse.
She decided to get a surgery with Dr. Kevin Malouf in Guatemala, scheduled for June 13… she arrived to the clinic with a relative as originally planned. But shortly after, that relative was asked to leave by clinical staff and told that she”ll be called once Floridalma is ready to be picked up.
That phone call never happened. That relative went to pick her up the next morning, only to be told that Floridalma supposedly signed a release to leave against medical consent, and that she called an Uber and she was escorted outside once it arrived. After which, she apparently vanished.
After a lot of research, what we did conclude is that:
-her phone was turned off right before the surgery and never turned back on
-the last location for that phone was in there at that clinic
-she never ordered an Uber since her phone was off
-even if her was phone on, she didn’t know how to order an Uber
-she couldn’t even call for a cab or give an address since she didn’t know the area
-she was also considered legally blind since she had surgery on her upper eyelids and in NYS just like in Guatemala City, you’re not supposed to release a patient in the condition without someone signing her out, not to mention it’s clearly unethical.
After many interviews, Dr. Kevin Malouf has changed his story 3x thus far. From saying that she called a cab, to now saying “someone came to pick her up and she told them they were outside”. There was no way for her to even contact anyone from inside of that clinic since her phone stayed off! Not to mention, she couldn’t see. Now he’s even saying that she told him she had no family in Guatemala and that she came alone, which is also a lie! Says she told him she only had a brother in Mexico, that’s also a lie.
Another development that has appeared with the FBI was when they went to retrieve the consent form that she supposedly signed to leave against medical advice and also the signature to sign out- BOTH ARE MISSING AND UNFOUNDED.
As well as camera footage that was released (of which there’s 100+ cameras in the area alone) it was just one camera, facing the back only, & of lowest quality. Nonetheless it did show someone leaving in a wheelchair, way taller than Floridalma and heavier. That was NOT Floridalma! On top of that, one of the surgeries was on her arms, and in this video is you see this “nurse” lifting her arms up from the wheelchair to “help her down the stairs”, if that was Floridalma she wouldn’t have even been able to lift her arms after the surgery.
We believe the worst at this point and also believe that this was premeditated. We also have come across other victims with similar stories in which their relative also disappeared after leaving Perfektima clinic and their stories were never brought to light or brought Justice. Only difference is that they were all Guatemalan , and Floridalma was a U.S. citizen.
Our older brother, Jorge Jr., traveled to Guatemala on June 16th, to ensure an investigation takes place but it’s been extremely overwhelming and their judicial system is extremely slow and inept at times.
We need to hire a criminal attorney specialized in civil law as well, in order for us to get Justice and to serve as a liaison between our family and the Guatemalan judicial system.
Between travel expenses, paperwork filing and the attorney fees, we’re reaching close to $60,000 USD.
We are asking the public for help, please. This cannot go unheard and we demand Justice. But we need help. Please if you could donate any amount towards the cause, it will be eternally appreciated.
She was a very much loved Mom, Sister, Grandmother, Cousin and friend. & we need Justice, clarity and closure!

Hola, iniciamos esta recaudación de fondos para traer Justicia a la desaparición de nuestra mamá después de salir de la Clínica Perfektima en la Zona 14, en Guatemala.
Nuestra mamá es una ciudadana estadounidense de 59 años que viajó a Guatemala para una cirugía programada para el 13 de junio de 2023 a las 7 am.
Floridalma Roque nació y se crió en Honduras, vino a los Estados Unidos en 1980 y se convirtió en ciudadana estadounidense. Fue a la escuela y se convirtió en enfermera registrada.
Decidió operarse con el Dr. Kevin Malouf en Guatemala, programada para el 13 de junio… llegó a la clínica con un familiar como estaba previsto originalmente. Pero poco después, el personal clínico le pidió a esa pariente que se fuera y le dijeron que la llamarían una vez que Floridalma estuviera lista para ser recogida.
Esa llamada telefónica nunca sucedió. Ese pariente fue a buscarla a la mañana siguiente, solo para que le dijeran que Floridalma supuestamente “firmó un permiso para irse contra el consentimiento médico”, y que llamó a un “Uber” y la escoltaron afuera una vez que llegó. Después de lo cual, aparentemente desapareció.
Después de mucha investigación, lo que sí concluimos es que:
-su teléfono fue apagado justo antes de la cirugía y nunca volvió a encenderse
-la última ubicación de ese teléfono estaba allí en esa clínica
-nunca pidió un Uber porque su teléfono estaba apagado
-incluso si su teléfono estaba encendido, no sabía cómo pedir un Uber
-Ni siquiera podía llamar a un taxi o dar una dirección porque no conocía el área
-También se la consideró legalmente ciega ya que se sometió a una cirugía en los párpados superiores y en el estado de Nueva York, al igual que en la Ciudad de Guatemala, no se supone que se debe dar de alta a un paciente en esa condición sin que alguien la firme, sin mencionar que claramente no es ético.
Después de muchas entrevistas, el Dr. Kevin Malouf ha cambiado su historia 3 veces hasta ahora. De decir que llamó un taxi, a decir ahora “alguien vino a buscarla y les dijo que estaban afuera”. ¡No había forma de que ella siquiera se pusiera en contacto con alguien dentro de esa clínica ya que su teléfono estaba apagado! Sin mencionar que ella no podía ver! Ahora hasta dice que ella le dijo que no tenía familia en Guatemala y que vino sola, ¡que cual también es mentira! Dice que ella le dijo que solo tenía un hermano en México, eso también es mentira.
Otro desarrollo que apareció con el FBI fue cuando fueron a recuperar el “formulario de consentimiento” que supuestamente ella firmó para irse en contra del consejo médico y también la firma de Salida. AMBOS ESTÁN DESAPARECIDOS Y SIN FUNDAMENTO.
Además de las imágenes de la cámara que se lanzaron (de las cuales hay más de 100 cámaras solo en el área), era solo una cámara, mirando hacia atrás y de la calidad más baja. Sin embargo, mostró a alguien saliendo en silla de ruedas, mucho más alto que Floridalma y más pesada.
Esa ¡NO era Floridalma! Además de eso, una de las cirugías fue en sus brazos, y en este video se ve a esta “enfermera” levantando los brazos de la silla de ruedas para “ayudarla a bajar las escaleras”, si esa fuera Floridalma no lo habría hecho. incluso pudo levantar los brazos después de la supuesta cirugía.
Creemos lo peor en este punto y también creemos que esto fue premeditado. También nos hemos encontrado con otras víctimas con historias similares en las que su familiar también desapareció después de salir de la clínica Perfektima y sus historias nunca fueron sacadas a la luz ni llevadas a la Justicia. La única diferencia es que todos eran guatemaltecos y Floridalma era ciudadana estadounidense.
Nuestro hermano mayor, Jorge Jr., viajó a Guatemala el 16 de junio para asegurarse de que se llevara a cabo una investigación, pero ha sido extremadamente abrumador y su sistema judicial es extremadamente lento e inepto a veces.
Necesitamos contratar un abogado penal especializado en derecho civil también, para que podamos obtener Justicia y servir como enlace entre nuestra familia y el sistema judicial guatemalteco.
Entre los gastos de viaje, la presentación de trámites y los honorarios de los abogados, estamos llegando a cerca de $ 60,000 USD.
Estamos pidiendo ayuda al público, por favor. Esto no puede pasar desapercibido y exigimos Justicia. Pero necesitamos ayuda. Por favor, si pudiera donar cualquier cantidad para la causa, se lo agradeceremos eternamente.
