Our family is asking for help as we continue fighting for justice for my husband, who we firmly believe was wrongfully convicted of a crime he did not commit. We are now entering the appeal process and doing everything we can to ensure that all evidence and circumstances surrounding this case are fully reviewed and brought to light.
Throughout this case, there were critical details that we believe were not properly presented during trial. This includes schedules, text messages, and communications between the alleged victim, a witness, and the witness’s mother discussing coercion and encouraging false statements to be made. We believe this evidence could have significantly changed the outcome of the case had it been fully examined before the jury.
This case has not only affected my husband, but it has deeply impacted our entire family emotionally, mentally, and financially. Before all of this, our family experienced the heartbreaking loss of our first daughter. During a time when we were grieving and trying to heal together as a family, my husband was arrested. Although he was later released on bond, the emotional weight of losing our child while simultaneously fighting a serious criminal case was something no family should ever have to endure.
As we tried to rebuild our lives and hold onto hope, we welcomed our second daughter into the world. What should have been one of the happiest moments of our lives quickly turned into another painful chapter when my husband was incarcerated again shortly after her birth. Instead of bringing our daughter home together and experiencing those first precious moments as a family, we were once again torn apart by this case.
Our children have suffered tremendously through this process. My husband has missed milestones, birthdays, holidays, and everyday moments that can never be replaced. The emotional strain of trying to remain strong for our children while fighting a legal battle has been overwhelming. In addition to the emotional pain, this situation has caused significant financial hardship on our family. Attorney fees, court costs, legal research, appeals, and post-conviction efforts continue to place a heavy burden on us financially.
Despite everything we have faced, we remain committed to continuing this fight and pursuing every legal avenue available to seek justice and uncover the truth. We are asking for support to help us continue through the appeal process and cover the legal expenses necessary to fight this case properly.
