My name is Venus Smith. On April 15th, 2012, my grandson's life was taken away at the age of two days shy of 4 months, in the care of his mother. I had full custody of him and was ordered the Friday before his death to allow her to have unsupervised visits with my grandson. She had already shown signs of being willing to harm him. She hung him by his feet out of a moving car while yelling very nasty racial remarks about him being a mixed child, all because my son no longer dated her. I never believed he died from SIDS as they claimed. There were so many reasons this case should have led to the arrest of not only his mom but several others. He was never supposed to be with his mom alone; her parents were supposed to be present at all times.

I'm asking for help to get a lawyer to reopen this case. There are two more children in this same family. One is physically suffering from being beaten by the hands of family members. They just had a new baby, and unfortunately, she did not make it to see one month! Her death was also ruled SIDS! This has to stop; this family has made a career out of killing and/or hurting children! Please help us get the justice my grandson deserves! There are more than enough people who have come forward and told the truth about his death! Anything you can give to help will all go to getting this case reopened! The SJPD, judge, his mom, grandparents, and other people all failed him! I will not stop until every single person is held accountable for their actions in this sick crime. They knew what happened and never stood for him! Please, please help!!!!
