This fundraiser has been created in loving memory of Nicholas Braham with permission from his family.

On May 13th, 2025, our beloved brother, son uncle and father — Nicholas “Nick” Braham — was involved in a serious car accident in Cannock.

Following the incident, Nick was arrested and taken into custody. He was later remanded to HMP Dovegate, where — just days later — on May 20th, Nick was tragically found dead in his cell. He was only 41 years old.

Nick was full of life — a deeply spiritual man, a father of six beautiful children (including his youngest, a 8-week-old baby girl), and someone whose presence brought energy, loyalty, and love to everyone around him. He meant the world to his mother, father, siblings and the many friends who loved him like a brother.

To this day, the full circumstances surrounding Nick’s death remain unclear, and our family is still waiting for answers. We have not received a full account of what happened in the days following his arrest, and the process of investigation is still ongoing. With support from our local MP, a request has been made to the Ministry of Justice for a comprehensive and transparent investigation. We expect more clarity to come in the following months, with a full inquest anticipated closer to November 2025.

In the meantime, our family is trying to navigate not only unimaginable grief but also the unexpected financial weight of laying Nick to rest with the dignity and love he deserves. This GoFundMe has been set up with the full support and approval of Nick’s family to help cover:
